Review: Mojo Taqueria's short rib burrito is delicious
"Service is top notch here, and the staff's attentiveness and speed were closer to what one would expect at a fine dining establishment than a humble taco joint just off the main drag. Drinks and chips were promptly refilled and the casually dressed staff uniformly exuded the kind of professionalism that only comes with hard-earned experience. It's also worth noting that Mojo was surprisingly busy during a weeknight dinner, and it certainly had the feel of a popular locals' hangout."

The Tasting Menu
"Mojo Taqueria is a good place. Inventive cocktails, unique rotating beers, a vibrant atmosphere and, most importantly, fantastic tacos. Their taco menu includes things you’re not likely to find elsewhere, including Korean beef, fried avocado, fire-roasted poblano and guajillo-braised short rib. We thought one star, among many, was the cochinita pibil taco. It’s achiote-marinated pork smoked in banana leaves, topped with pickled red onions and habanero salsa. It’s spicy, tart, tangy, bright and, ultimately, irresistible. $3.95 each."

Ty Hammes got his Mojo [Taqueria] working
"After an unexplained, late-night fire in March, Mojo Taqueria, a “taco joint” in Lyons, was again serving its popular tacos and margaritas by May. Owner Ty Hammes was eager to get back to where he’d left off with the restaurant he’d opened just four months earlier: serving fresh, creative, affordable Mexican food drawing on the flavors of Oaxaca, Yucatan, Baja and other Mexican regions in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere."
